Coffee Question Of The Day Italian Coffee Drink Recipe

Coffee Question Of The Day Italian Coffee Drink Recipe

Steven asks…

Will I start losing weight with this diet?

I don’t care about anyones OPINION on the diet, I just want to know if I’ll lose weight 😀 I want to lose around 10-15 pounds before december. I don’t want to hear “that’s impossible unless you starve” because whatever, I’m too fat to go out and jog looking like this. I want my old body back & then at least I can start running again without having to stop and adjust my shorts or top because of my fat!

This is BASICALLY what I’ll follow but I might mix it up a little bit sometimes (instead of following it exactly I might eat “dinner” for breakfast and lunch for “dinner” etc, mixing it up like that.)

I’d have a rice cake (butter popped corn flavor, it just takes like butter & has 45 calories) for breakfast topped with one serving of egg whites (25 calories per serving) and a tablespoon of ketchup (around 20?) , some salt & pepper, green onion and two teaspoons of light butter which comes to 40 calories. That’s 130 calories total, 150 if I included creamer in my coffee.

Lunch would be “radish fries” which I love, they’re pretty much calorie free. I slice them up and use butter flavored cooking spray and spray them, fry them for 2-3 minutes (maybe a little more, it depends) and use a teaspoon of light butter (around 20 calories) & my choice of topping. I usually eat them with buffalo sauce or a small amount of honey mustard (which would add 10-20 depending). I usually have a serving or two that comes to around 40 or 100 depending on if I use honey mustard instead of buffalo hot sauce / how many servings using the light butter WITH the cooking spray.

& Dinner would just be something like a lettuce wrap with turkey (30 calories) light mayo (another 30 for a tablespoon), & zero/very low calorie things like black olives & banana peppers or chick peas, bell peppers, etc etc topped with a little bit of balsamic dressing (i get the one calorie sprays, so about 4-5 calories) totaling 65 maybe 80 max 🙂

I also might have an italian ice (100 calories) if I get a sweet tooth. I don’t drink anything except coffee and diet soda, mostly sparkling waters. If I ate mostly recipes like that (in those calorie ranges, no more than 250 a meal) and worked out for 10-20 minutes after each meal (probably just sprints and situps, jumping jacks/jumping rope) would I lose the 20-25 pounds I need to lose HOPEFULLY by december? Then I can work on losing the rest, and NO I won’t gain all of the weight right back after I stop this diet, because I’ll just amp up my workout and I won’t ever eat junk. so 🙂

I weigh about 130 maybe 140 now and I’m 5’1, I want to weigh 100/110 pounds.

6 eggs (4 whites, 2 yolks)
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies
1 teaspoon chili powder
10 (8 inch) flour tortillas, warmed
1 1/4 cups salsa
In a nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with red pepper and onion. Combine the egg substitute, green chilies and chili powder; pour over sausage mixture.

Butter cookies
* 1 cup butter, softened
* 2 cups brown sugar
* 2 eggs
* 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
* 4 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch in thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 1/2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Decorate with your favorite frostings or sprinkles if you like.

Banna Vegan Muffins

* 2 cups of unbleached white flour
* 1 teaspoon of baking powder ( I added a bit more)
* 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
* ¼ teaspoon of salt
* 1 cup of mashed banana (2 medium sized ones work)
* ½ cup of honey
* 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract
* 6 tablespoons of vegetable oil
* 1/2 cup of water
* ½ a cup of frozen blueberries, raspberries or cranberries (This is what the recipe says but I put strawberry which I cut in the beginning and put them in the freezer for 15 minutes before use)
Mix half a cup of brown sugar and half a cup of finely crushed whole nuts. Sprinkle on top of muffins before putting them in the oven.
Heat oven to 375 F. In a large bowls combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Then in a medium sized bowl, combine remaining ingredients, except berries. Pour the medium bowls ingredients into the big one after mixing, and stir until it combines. Add berries and mix. Pour batter into greased muffin tins to 2/3 full. Bake for 20 minutes or until muffins are risen, firm and slightly golden.

Your menu sounds wonderful!
Thanks for the recipes too.
The only thing that I would add to this is something with color like a
bowl of unpeeled sliced seedless orange wedges. They are ready to eat and are wonderful for cleansing the palette after eating the other foods. Cut them up early in the day and refrigerator until serving time.

Have a wonderful breakfast and also do your baking early so you have time to enjoy your guests.

Best wishes,
Mama Jazzy Geri
